Experiential Group · Small Closed Cohort

Braving You: A 10-Week Trauma Processing Group

A ten-week experiential group for adults who want to explore their inner world and the protections built around it, alongside others doing the same brave work.

Trauma can leave you feeling alone with what you carry. Braving You is a small, closed group where adults explore their internal world and the protective mechanisms they've built around it, using somatic and parts-centered approaches, in the company of others who understand.

It's experiential, which means showing rather than only talking. Your nervous system, not only your intellect, gets to participate in the healing. Braving You is one of my two ten-week experiential groups.

The focus

Getting to know your protectors.

After difficult experiences, we develop ways to protect ourselves: staying busy, shutting down, keeping people at a distance, staying on guard. These protections made sense, and they may still be working hard. Braving You explores them with curiosity rather than criticism.

Through parts-centered work, we get to know the different sides of you that carry protective jobs. Through somatic approaches, we notice how those protections live in the body and what helps your system settle.

How it works

Experiential, paced, and consent-based.

Each session uses experiential practices drawn from my training, including psychodrama-informed methods, so the work moves beyond insight into felt experience. You might explore a part of yourself through movement or voice, witness another member's work, or practice a new way of responding. Throughout the ten weeks:

  • You are never put on the spot.
  • Participation is invited, never required.
  • You choose how much to share, and when.
  • The cohort becomes both witness and mirror.

If you're curious about the action methods behind this work, the page on psychodrama explains more.

The cohort

Small, closed, and by secure video.

Braving You is a closed group, so the same small cohort moves through all ten weeks together. That continuity is what allows trust to build. Sessions take place by secure video and are open to participants located in Pennsylvania or Arizona.

Being witnessed by others who are doing similar work can soften the isolation that trauma so often brings. At the same time, you're never asked to share more than feels right.

Equity-based pricing

Everyone receives the same care.

Braving You offers three self-selected tiers: Rebalancing Access ($60), Fair Access ($50), and Supported Access ($40). You pick the one that fits your situation, and everyone in the group receives the same care.

Rebalancing Access helps fund equitable access for others in the group. Fair Access covers your own participation. Supported Access is for people with limited resources, with the difference made up by the other tiers.

Joining

Groups form as interest gathers.

Cohorts open when a small group is ready to begin together, rather than on a fixed calendar. To join the interest list, use the booking page, or send a message with any questions about timing or fit.

Being in individual therapy at the same time isn't required, though we can talk about whether the group fits where you are. One-on-one trauma therapy is also available in person in Doylestown or by telehealth. If eating concerns are part of your story, you may also be interested in Free To Be.

Common questions

What people ask.

Who is Braving You for?
Braving You is for adults 21 and older who want to explore the impact of trauma and the protective patterns they've built, in a small group using somatic and parts-centered approaches. No diagnosis is required, and we'll talk together about fit before you join.
Will I have to talk about what happened to me?
No. The focus is on your inner world and your protective patterns in the present, not on retelling trauma stories. You decide what to share, and participation is always invited rather than required.
How is a group different from individual therapy?
In a group, you have the chance to be witnessed by others and to witness them, which can ease the sense of being alone with what you carry. Individual therapy offers more one-on-one focus. You can do both, and individual therapy isn't required to join.
How do I join the interest list?
You can join through the booking page or send a message through the contact page. Cohorts form as interest gathers, and you'll hear about the next start date and fit before anything is confirmed.
